WHY SUPPORT MY BROTHER'S KEEPER
Dear Friends,
The Third Annual $1Million Hole-in-One Shootout is a fundraising event to benefit My Brother's Keeper, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit Christian ministry located in Easton, Massachusetts that delivers furniture, food, and Christmas gifts free of charge to families in need. This event is anchored by WEEI Sports Radio and supported by corporate sponsors throughout the region. Already popular among area golfers, this year's expanded event will be held at Golf Country in South Easton with added family-oriented activities including mini golf, batting cages, food court, silent auction, raffles, and much more. It is an excellent opportunity for businesses to show community involvement and truly make a difference in the lives of families in need.
Local focus. Over the course of the year, My Brother's Keeper serves a geographic area ranging from Boston to Attleboro, Fall River, and the Cape. We are the only organization on the South Shore focused on delivering furniture free of charge to the less fortunate.
All are eligible. Anyone residing in our geographic area is eligible to receive our assistance without regard to religion, race, class, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, or disability, if any.
History of success. My Brother's Keeper is celebrating its 20th Anniversary and has made more than 80,000 deliveries to families in need since 1988. Annually, we make approximately 5,000 deliveries in 60 communities with only four paid employees. We operate a modern 15,000 square foot warehouse and office facility entirely built with private donations. We receive no public funds from the local, state, or federal government. We are 100% privately funded.
Enabling 2,000+ volunteers. Our corporate sponsors support the work of thousands of adult volunteers from every walk of life and hundreds of student volunteers from area high schools, colleges, and church groups, including more than 100 student volunteers from Stonehill College alone. The number of volunteers continues to grow yearly and now includes former recipients and many second generation family members.
Return on Investment. Through volunteers and in-kind donations, My Brother’s Keeper significantly leverages financial contributions. Some examples: the average value of our food deliveries exceeds $100– our cost, only $18. The average retail cost of a twin bed is $150-200. My Brother’s Keeper can provide a child with a twin bed, sheets, and blanket for only $35.
When you become a corporate sponsor of My Brothers Keeper, you will be supporting an organization with a proven track record of success in maximizing the impact and effectiveness of its donations and resources. Most importantly, you will be supporting volunteers, friends, and neighbors working to make a difference in the lives of struggling families in our community. Please consider becoming a corporate sponsor today.
Sincerely,
